Prompun Sirinudsomboon

Born in Thailand in 1970, Prompun Sirinudsomboon initially pursued a career in business, studying Business Administration despite an early aspiration to formally train in the arts. This grounding in discipline and structure would later inform an artistic practice distinguished by clarity of form, thoughtful composition, and a refined sensitivity to material expression.

Her introduction to the wider world of art came through her studies at the Vichienket Arts Centre under the guidance of artist and instructor Yanpol Vichienket, who encouraged her exploration of sculpture as both a creative discipline and personal pursuit. What began as a hobby soon evolved into a dedicated practice, allowing Prompun to develop a sculptural language shaped by observation, balance, and quiet emotional resonance.

Working across painting, ceramics, and miniature sculpture, Prompun’s works reveal an affinity for intimate forms and tactile detail. Her practice reflects a measured and contemplative approach, balancing technical precision with subtle expressiveness. Through restrained compositions and carefully considered surfaces, she creates works that evoke calmness, introspection, and understated elegance.

Prompun has participated in a number of exhibitions in Bangkok, including The Art Exhibition: Painting, Ceramic, and Mini-Sculpture at The City Gallery within Siam City Hotel as well as the Vichienket Arts Exhibition in 2008. These presentations introduced her work to a wider audience and established her presence within Thailand’s contemporary art community.

Today, Prompun continues to cultivate a practice that bridges artistic sensitivity with disciplined craftsmanship, creating works that celebrate simplicity, texture, and the enduring emotional power of sculptural form.
