For Villa Mistral, Metakaos curated an interior environment that continues the villa’s maritime narrative, translating the architectural idea of a vessel in motion into a refined spatial experience. Materials, colour, and furniture were carefully orchestrated to reinforce the villa’s dynamic form while creating a sense of elegance and continuity throughout the interior.
Marble flooring forms the foundation of the main living spaces, introducing a sense of clarity, permanence, and quiet luxury. Its smooth, reflective surface enhances natural light and provides a seamless dialogue with the bespoke furnishings, most notably the custom marble dining table that anchors the dining area. Together, these elements establish a cohesive material language, where furniture and architecture appear carved from the same refined palette.
Against the villa’s restrained base tones, red emerges as a defining accent throughout the interior. In the main living room, rich red carpets introduce warmth and visual depth, grounding the space while adding a layer of sophistication. In the dining area, red upholstered chairs bring vibrancy and contrast to the marble surfaces, while red curtains throughout the villa frame the expansive glazing and soften the architectural lines. These deliberate touches of colour create rhythm within the interior, guiding the eye while maintaining a balanced and harmonious composition.
On the uppermost level, the villa’s cruise ship inspiration becomes most apparent. Timber flooring recalls the decks of a vessel, while continuous glass walls open the space to sweeping views of Mistral’s surrounding landscape. This panoramic lounge area evokes the atmosphere of a ship’s observation deck: a place of openness, light, and quiet contemplation.
Through this carefully layered approach, Metakaos ensured that Villa Mistral’s interior reflects the same philosophy as its architecture: a seamless integration of structure, material, and narrative. The result is a curated environment where maritime inspiration, contemporary luxury, and sculptural design converge, creating a residence that feels both dynamic and serenely composed.
