Villa Otto

For Villa Otto, Metakaos developed a curated interior environment that echoes the villa’s defining concept—the number eight—a symbol of continuity, balance, and prosperity. Reflecting the architecture’s interlocking circular pavilions and fluid geometry, the interior design extends this symbolic language into every spatial and decorative element, creating an atmosphere that is both cohesive and quietly monumental.

Throughout Otto, rounded and circular forms recur as a guiding motif. Custom lights appear as glowing recesses overhead, while sculptural pillars rise seamlessly into the ceiling, dissolving the boundary between structure and surface. These elements evoke the idea of infinity—forms that appear to continue beyond their visible limits—reinforcing the villa’s underlying symbolism of abundance and perpetual flow.

Ceiling decorations further articulate this narrative, with repeating motifs reminiscent of the figure eight subtly embedded within the architectural detailing. These layered forms introduce rhythm and movement overhead, creating a visual dialogue between structure and ornament. Rather than overwhelming the space, the patterns are integrated with restraint, allowing the symbolism to reveal itself gradually as one moves through the villa.

Materiality plays an equally important role in shaping the interior atmosphere. Marble flooring anchors the principal living spaces with a sense of permanence and refinement, while the broader palette—composed of white, tan, and warm brown—establishes a calm and sophisticated foundation. Accents of gold, bronze, and brownish-red introduce warmth and depth, reflecting light across surfaces and subtly amplifying the villa’s aura of luxury.

Curvilinear elements continue throughout the residence, from circular lamps and rounded lighting fixtures to the sculptural jacuzzi, whose smooth geometry mirrors the architectural language of the house. These details create a continuous visual flow between rooms, ensuring that each space feels part of a larger, unified composition.

In Villa Otto, Metakaos approached curation as an act of spatial storytelling. Through geometry, material, and light, the interior reflects the villa’s central symbolism while enhancing the architecture’s fluid character. The result is an immersive environment where form, meaning, and atmosphere converge: a residence shaped by the timeless language of balance, continuity, and refined prosperity.
