Built for IOI Corporation, one of Malaysia’s largest conglomerates, 101 is a circular installation crafted from copper and stainless steel, with its elements appearing to transform from within the sculpture itself.
Located at the drop-off of Singapore’s newly opened IOI Central Boulevard Towers, the piece carries a dual meaning: a three-dimensional expression of IOI’s logo and a symbol of the company’s values. Through its circular form and the materials used, 101 reflects strength, unity, and prosperity amid the cyclical nature of time, calling back to philosophical traditions, such as ensō in Zen, which view the circle as a symbol of completeness and continuous becoming.
