Much thought has gone into the creation of Metakaos’s sculptures, with inspirations spanning from mundane objects to expressions of quantum mechanics and mathematical models, such as Superstring, which draws from string theory. Our primary artist and founder, Massimo Mercurio, has a signature style that focuses mostly on the abstract, expressionist, and contemporary.

His works are inspired by the beauty of the things that surround him—both routine and extraordinary—which he believes hold a healing power in life. He calls this the “healing power of beauty:” Something that is beautiful inherently enhances its surroundings, in turn fostering the wellness of onlookers and resulting in the betterment of people and places.

These beauteous, happy thoughts coalesce into his sculptures, which are a solidification of these positive, healing energies.
